If you need to set your computer’s IP address to static or if you need to change the static IP address your computer already has, follow these simple steps.
Step 1: Right click on Internet connection in system tray on lower right hand side of screen, and click on Open Network and sharing Center option.
Step 3: In the Network Connections menu, find the Local Area Connection and right-click on it, choose Properties
Step 4: In Local Area Connection Properties, high-light Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click on the properties button just below.
Step 5: The properties window will come up, here you will be able to set a static IP on your PC if it does not have on, by choosing use the following IP address, or if your compute already has a static IP assigned to it, you will be able to change it.
Once you have entered the correct new IP address, click OK for changes to take effect.
